The Mont Street Club is comprised of 8 quiet boys (since they have not yet really grown up) who attended Victory Public School, Central Public School and Guelph Collegiate Vocational Institute in Guelph, Ontario in the 1950s and early 1960s.

The members of this group are: Barry Angus, Terry Elder, Bruce Ferguson, Bryan Florence, Chris Gakis, Bob Jones, Don Laird and Dave Wark.

Our first summer gathering was in 1995 at the Laird cottage near Wiarton in 1995 to celebrate everyone's 50th birthday. For geographical reasons, Bruce Ferguson and Chris Gakis were unable to make this and subsequent gatherings, until December 2006, when Chris attended. 

Our next four summer gatherings were held in July 2005, again at the Laird cottage, and, in July 2006 and August 2007, at Bob Jones' home in Bracebridge, and at the Elder cottage in Port McNicoll in August 2008.  Dinners have also been held in Guelph in May and November 2004, November 2005, December 2006, and at the Florence residence in November 2007.

An integral part of these parties have been the partners/spouses - Sandy, Janet, Elaine, Faye and Karen. Sadly, Bob's wife Nan, passed away in June 2003.

SUMMER 2008 EVENT - AUGUST 11-13, 2008

The 2008 summer reunion was held at the Elder cottage in Port McNicoll, starting Monday evening, August 11 and concluded around noon on Wednesday, August 13.  See the complete story of this gathering on the Aug 2008 page.

SUMMER 2009

Next summer's event is tentatively scheduled back in Bracebridge at Bob's home, just prior to his moving to a condominium.

November/December 2008

The details for the annual Fall dinner in late November/early December have yet to be finalized and will be posted as soon as they have been determined.

Dinner - December 1, 2006 

The gang gathered on Friday, December 1, 2006 at the Aberfoyle Mill Steak House with a surprise guest, Chris Gakis, who had recently flown in from Europe and was visiting his mother in Guelph.  Sandy and Barry, loving it in Aylsham, Saskatchewan,  were there in spirit and we all had a chance to speak with Barry as we drained Don and Faye's spirits back at their condo after dinner.  A surprise interloper in one of the photos was Linda Hillson (Colley) who, with Wayne, happened to be in the restaurant the same time we were.

August 10-12, 2007- Bracebridge
Our 2007 summer gathering was held the week-end of August 10-12 at Bob's home in Bracebridge with Barry and Sandy in attendance with tales of their first year in Aylsham, Saskatchewan.  Unfortunately, Bryan and Elaine Florence could not attend this year.  See the complete story of this weekend on the next page of this web site.

Elaine and Bryan  graciously hosted the Fall 2007 dinner at their home  (72 Walnut Drive) on Friday evening, November 30, 2007.  Bob Jones and Barry and Sandy could not make it down for this event.  A great night was had by all, with surprise guests Colin and Lori Ferguson making a late night appearance.
